Email Dual Delivery

Recently the IT department has made a change in email delivery that creates what is called dual delivery. This change currently only impacts mail sent from addresses other than a email addresses. In our testing, the dual delivery does not impact mail from being delivered to Outlook. The messages simply are sent to both places.

Please take note of the following:

Some emails may appear in Outlook that do not appear in the Gmail Inbox. Google’s spam filter is much more extensive than our system and some emails may be sent straight to your spam folder in the gmail. Some emails may appear at the that do not appear in the Outlook Inbox or in Outlook at all. In our testing, these emails were found in the Junk Mail folder in Outlook. We also found that gmail is letting some mail through that our network's spam filter was blocking. Therefore, if you find mail in gmail that did not come to Outlook it is probably something you would never have received because it was blocked by the spam filter.

In all our test scenarios we have found no missing mail. If you have a problem please let us know by completing the following form. CLICK HERE FOR FORM
